Wexford

Since we couldn't contact the pastor at the church that our parking inspector had put us on to, we decided to go to Wexford to follow another hot tip. Apparently, the proprietor at an Internet cafe in Wexford was an expert genealogist, so off to Wexford from Enniscorthy we went.

As we hit the outskirts of Wexford, we hit a lot of construction.

We have a an appreciative look at the line of traffic going the other way. We are following the GPS to the Wexford County Library where we hope to dig up some info. Sadly, the GPS   let us down, as it led us to an empty field. So, the last laugh was on us. To get back downtown we had to join the queue.

We have spotted the Internet cafe, BUT we needed find a place to park.

The GPS led us to Anne street. Once again it has let us down as this street was supposed to be through, but it dead ended! It turns out  that the locals just use it as a two sided parking lot. We send to the and might a Y turn with tight constraints to get out of there. We were continuously let down by the GPS on this trip.

We finally found a parking place at the far end of the public jetty. I don't know what I was pointing at, because I certainly didn't have much of an idea of what was going on.

After telling Barbara that all the information is on the net, the local expert shows Barbara the Internet resources available to do research on Irish ancestry.

The rest of us have a soft drink break while Barbara is in conference.
