Leaving for Ireland

Well, we got up at about 6:30AM, and Art Wainer took us over to Buffalo pick up our 11:15 flight. Per usual the flight was delayed for about two hours. At least this time it was because of low cloud cover over Newark. While we were there Barbara and I indulged ourselves with a traditional Buffalo lunch. I forget the name because it was like a bad Arbies with soggy bun, horse radish dressing, a miserable little bag of potato crisps.  Anyway, we got to Newark at about 4PM. Here is Barbara in transit:

After we got to Newark we took a bus from the domestic terminal to the international terminal without having to go through security again. Thank goodness!!

 

 Linda had arrived a few hours earlier at the terminal:

 As usual the flight was delayed. We chatted and had a few drinks/snacks while waiting:

Finally, we take off after another two hour delay (much of it on the tarmac). Apparently, the problem is that there are thunderstorms around Boston, and all U.S. flight to Europe on that evening had their flight plan to be going over Boston. The trip takes a while:

We do get there about 7PM local time. There is very long queue through customs because of our delay, but we all passed through with no problem.
